Intro

I know what you are thinking, "Twenty One Pilots?? They are more pop than Panic you idiot." And to that I say go fuck yourself I actually like this band. Now, with that out of the the way I'll get into the review. Personally this is the "Modern Rock" band I prefer over bands like Imagine Dragons and Panic! At The Disco as you all know. Alot of people seem to think they don't know this band, then they hear Stressed out and go "Ohhhhhh those guys" so my goal is to prove they have more good songs than that.

Thoughts & Feelings

I love this album. I grew up listening to this, Vessel, and Trench so it's gonna be alot of fun to comeback and listen to it again after all these years.  Anyways lets get into it.

Smash or Pass?

Heavydirtysoul- SMASH. This song is great. This is more of a pop-rap song than anything but its just too fucking good. The chorus is super catchy and the vocals sound amazing.

Stressed Out- smash. Yup. Shoutout to Our Last Night.

Ride-SMASH. Another song everyone knows. Again this song is amazing but its not as good as Stressed Out. This song has a bit more pop than the last one but that's to be expected. I FORGOT HE SCREAMS IN THIS ONE.

Fairly Local- SSMMAASSHH. This is good techno pop. The vocals are amazing, the "instrumental" is amazing. This song is surprisingly heavy for what it is, with that being said this is NOT a rock track in the slightest. Man it feels nostalgic to be listening to this again after all these years. MAN THOSE SCREAMS STILL SURPRISE ME.

Tear in My Heart- Smash. This sounds like a good panic song, V&V era. This song is great though. Catchy as hell and just all around fun.

Lane Boy- SMASH. I REMBER THIS ONE. This song SLAPS. This is a good example of Techno-rap. That dubstep breakdown goes way harder than it deserves to.

The Judge- SSSMMMMAAAASSHHH. Another one I remembered instantly. A slow acoustic opening that gradually picks up a bit. Another song that is just fun as hell. God this album is incredible. This song is such a fucking vibe.

Doubt- Smash. Another bop but this one is a bit too "tiktok-trap" for me to really enjoy. Its still good and the vocals are amazing but the beat is just too generic.

Polarize- SMASH. OH YEAH THIS IS TWENTY ONE PILOTS. This song is great again, a perfect pop-rock track. Man the vocals on this album are just something else. Another banger to add to the list.

We Don't Believe What's on TV- SSSSSMMMMMMMAAAAAAASHHHHHH. GOD THIS SONG IS SO FUCKING FUN. THIS IS A FUCKING SKA SONG AND IM ALL FOR IT. 10/10 BANGER.

Message Man- Smash. This song is great again. Not nearly as good as the last one but still great. This is way more pop than the last few.

Hometown- Smash. Another one I remembered instantly. Tons of memories listening to this one while playing Minecraft and NHL 16 on my PS4 in my basement. The nostalgia hits hard on this one.

Not Today- SMASH. Another fun upbeat track to close the album. Man these last few just hit hard with nostalgia. Cool use of horns and other instruments on this one.

Goner- Smash. This song is a slow piano ballad. This is a perfect closing track. It starts to pick up a bit in the middle of the song. THEN IT FUCKING EXPLODES WITH SCREAMING. THIS IS HOW YOU END A FUCKING ALBUM.

Conclusion

This album is a masterpiece. Every song is memorable and unique with its own vibe. This is a MUST LISTEN for any Emo fan as this is what issued in the modern "Bedroom Depression" era of the genre for artists like Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo. With that being said though, this is not a rock album so don't expect one.

RANK: A+

Well that's it for review 99. 100 will be up very soon, and your only hint is that I've really had the Time of my Life writing these. Sorry for the lack of schedule, the reviews should be more common soon. As always leave your feedback in the comments below. Thanks for reading.
