Intro

Well this site is pretty much dead at this point so I decided fuck it lets do Sum 41. Shark hasn't done a review in weeks so I'm(Jake) gonna do as many as I can until this site either dies or I get told to stop. Anyways lets get into this one. Yes I know this album was already reviewed go fuck yourself.

Thoughts & Feelings?

I LOVE this album. its 2nd on my favorite Sum 41 albums behind only 13 voices (VERY unpopular opinion i know) But that's because 13 voices is a metal album and this is just Punk greatness.

This Album makes me feel like i got teleported to the home videos my dad had of him crashing his BMX bike into a stop sign after grinding on a 12 foot rail. No further comments.

Smash or Pass?

Introduction To Destruction- Smash. This is just a spoken intro but is a cool little poem. Get Ready for the album to follow.

Nothing On My Back- SMASH. THERE WE GO. Great opening track. good riff and fun vocals and tempo. Perfect intro to this album and its vibes.

Never Wake Up- Smash. SPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED. 49 seconds of "Emo" lyrics.

Fat Lip- SSSSSSMMMMMAAASSSSSSSHHHHHHHHH. Yup. That's all. You know this song and so does your mom and drunk uncle.

Rhythms- Smash. Opening sounded like a Fratellis song then those iconic Deryck lyrics kick in. Classic Sum 41 song, slower but keeps those punk vibes that made them so loveable.

Motivation- SSMMAASSHH. Shark gave this song the gold but i disagree. This song is INCREDIBLE but its not the best song on this album.

In Too Deep- S M A S H. Again, you know this one. So does 90% of the population born before 1998. Legendary MTV video for this one. This shot Sum 41 into the spotlight with the help of Fat Lip.

Summer- SMASH. PUNK ROCK BABBBBYYYYYYYYY.  This song is catchy as hell and a perfect Pop Punk song. This song has SERIOUS MCR vibes (Black Parade Era). Show this song to someone wanting to get into Pop Punk.

Handle This- Smash. Great riff and I love the vocals. Bit slower but is still amazing and a great contrast song on the album. Catchy chorus and memorable music.

Crazy Amanda Bunkface- SMASH. This song is the mindset of a hormonal teen after a break up. Great Chorus and a perfect "Fuck you bitch" song. One of the rare Punk breakup songs I wouldn't call Emo.

All She's Got- Smash. Great Punk song. This feels like the sequel to the last one but its just not as good. Still great though. Great Solo but kind of a strange guitar tone here.

Heart Attack- SSSSSSSSSSSSSSMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. THIS IS THE GOLD TRACK NO FUCKING QUESTION. THIS SONG FUCKING ROCKSSSSSSSSSSS. SUPER CATCHY CHOURS AND GREAT GUITAR WORK. THIS SONG HAS MCR VIBES ALL THE WAY THROUGH AND ITS SO FUCKING GOOOD AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAHAHAHHHHHHHHH. BEST SUM 41 SONG OF ALL TIME.

Pain For Pleasure- Smash. One of the few Sum 41 songs without Deryck on vocals. This song i feel shows what's later to come with the more metal focused albums in the future.

Conclusion.

This album is a fucking masterpiece of Pop Punk. Up there with Black Parade and Enema of the State.  One of my favorite albums ever from one of my favorite bands ever. I will do 13 voices soon because that is THE best Sum 41 album and nobody will change my mind.

RANK: A+

Like the review and want me to do more? want to to stop and let this site die? Any feedback is welcome and appreciated.
